This kind of sums my life up.

I’ve developed a love/hate relationship with mornings. And you know how that goes. I’ve eventually come to the school of thought that mornings have such great potential, but it’s lost due to lack of effort to make them awesome.
I mean, how good can a day be that begins with the screeching of some robotic alarm? Seriously. If the first ten seconds of your day begin irritatingly, the day’s irritation will never cease.
Instead, I’ve invested in a great iPod dock and put some time into making an awesome Morning playlist. Now I wake up to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaFXrOZDMBA better, no?
And as I get ready and slowly gain wakefulness I let the playlist play through softly, soft acoustic sounds gradually warming my room, keeping me mellow.
One tip: avoid human contact until as late as possible. This is my tactic. Humans are cranky in the morning, and they can rub that effect off onto you if you make contact too early.
I don’t speak a word to anyone until I’ve got a coffee in my hands.
These tactics plus a little positivity in the morning are what keep me functional and somewhat okay with mornings.
You’re welcome.
I feel happy of myself.
